Reverse Engineering

Updated: Jul 30, 2020

We recently worked with a customer to reverse engineering electrical auxiliary control cards for their ageing rolling stock. Their old cards had been failing and the OEM quoted MOQ’s (Minimum Order Quantities), 12 months lead time and an extortionate price! After reviewing a number of failed cards, weak points were identified in the tracks and with a number of components.

We were able to reverse engineer the electrical auxiliary control cards and eliminate the identified weaknesses before manufacturing the six (6) cards they required. Following rigorous bench testing up to 1500V DC we delivered the cards to a satisfied customer. The project took less than three (3) months and the unit price came in at 30% of the OEM unit price.
