Thinking outside the box for test facilities

A customer engaged us to build an automated software integration test facility to test and integrate software for a safety critical passenger train subsystem however, they didn’t have suitable floor space and needed the facility fast.

To provide the best solution for our customer in the shortest time frame we built an automated software integration test facility into a 20 foot shipping container that was transportable and operator friendly. Feature included:

– Fast delivery of project – Completely portable and easy to transport and setup – Secure lock up facility – Facility is able to operate completely stand alone – Automatic and adjustable climate control – Adequate work bench space for engineering staff

– Storage for equipment

– 20 x PLC programmable Logic Controllers networked

– Simulate 2 trains, 8 cars

– All inputs and outputs to simulate exact train functions

– All Interfaces used are exact components used on train

– Easy to reconfigure and modify as required
