National Engineering Register (NER) and Registered Professional Engineers Queensland (RPEQ)

Technobility have Senior Engineering staff that are certified and registered with both the National Engineering Register (NER) and the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) in the discipline of Electrical Engineering.

It is a requirement of the Professional Engineering Act (PE Act) that professional engineering services in Queensland - including those carried out elsewhere for a Queensland based project - are certified by a RPEQ.

The National Engineering Register (NER) is a comprehensive directory of Australian engineers who have met the high standards of professionalism expected within the industry.

We provide engineering services to our clients including system design, consultation, documentation review and certification by RPEQ and NER registered engineers.

Engineering Design

Over the last 25 years our engineers have been involved with the design, prototyping, installation and testing of equipment across many industries and  requirements. These activities include:

  • Internal and external LED and HID and LASER lighting

  • State of Art electrical train systems

  • Complex detrainment doors and ramps,

  • Passenger train safety systems,

  • Passenger train ICT and brake simulators

  • Critical communications radio systems,

  • Plug & Play motorsport electrical systems

  • Safety device life cycle test rigs

Electronic Brake Control Systems

Technobility has been providing exceptional maintenance and support services for Wabtec and Sydney Trains Endeavour and Xplorer Fleets.

Significant brake system failures and reliability performance issues led Sydney Trains to engage us to perform an engineering investigation in to the failures. Technobility's investigation concluded that the electronic brake control 5 (EBC5) circuit cards were contributing to over 50% of the brake system failures and many repeat failures were cards that had been returned from the OEM with no fault found report.

We proposed and executed an in-house overhaul on the EBC5 cards that would ensure that all of the electronic cards would exceed specifications and reliability performance targets.

Throughout the above initiative our customer Sydney Trains has seen a reduction of brake system failures of 50% over the total 18 month project period.

Driver's Safety Systems

Technobility has been the business of choice to major rail maintainers for our expertise in providing exceptional maintenance services periodically on critical passenger train driver's safety systems.

Our experienced engineering team have led the design and implementation on world class driver's safety and protection systems here in Australia.

We design and manufacture complete turn key and automated maintenance test devices and systems to ensure that critical equipment maintenance is performed to the highest standard.

Environmental Services

Technobility offers environmental services that focus on reducing

the harm and impact to our planet by first and foremost by recycling technologies and keeping them out of land fill.

Our battery collection service allows our customers to recycle their used batteries using Australian recycling processors. Our service is conducted in line with current legislation and the Australian Battery Recycling Initiative (ABRI) guidelines.

Battery recycling has a positive environmental impact, eliminating environmentally unacceptable disposal of used batteries to landfill. The recycling process recovers lead, the majority of which is reused in the production of new batteries, as well as polypropylene (plastic) from the battery casings and sodium sulphate, which is used to make detergents and fertiliser.

We have established processes to manage individual battery collection, through to major tonnage. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
